Back to Back Double Headers at Industree Group Stadium with the Cup of Nations and the NRL!


It was an action-packed weekend of sport at Industree Group Stadium in Gosford, Central Coast NSW. The Cup of Nations, an international tournament featuring some of the world's top women's football teams, kicked off at the stadium with two back-to-back double headers played on the pristine turf surface.

In the first game, Jamaica faced off against Spain, with the latter coming out on top in a 3-0 victory, setting the tone for the tournament.

Next up, the CommBank Matildas took to the field against Czechia, putting on a stellar performance to win their opening game of the Cup of Nations. The Matildas, backed by a passionate crowd at Industree Group Stadium, outclassed their opponents with a clinical display, finishing the match 4-0.

The Matildas will now travel to CommBank Stadium in Western Sydney for the second round of the tournament, where they will face off against Spain. The team will then round off their Cup of Nations campaign against Jamaica at McDonald Jones Stadium in Newcastle on Wednesday night.

Industree Group Stadium in Gosford, Central Coast NSW, was buzzing with another day of action-packed events following the Cup of Nations tournament. The NRL pre-season challenge was once again held at the stadium, featuring a double header with back-to-back games lined up. The first game was between the Newcastle Knights and Parramatta Eels, followed by the Sydney Roosters and Manly Sea Eagles.

Congratulations to the Parramatta Eels and Manly Warringah Sea Eagles on their impressive Round 2 trial wins, with final scores of Eels 36 v Knights 14, and Sea Eagles 28 v Roosters 16. NRL footy will return to the Coast in June for Round 14 action, when the Roosters face off against the Bulldogs.
