Junction Oval - Ground of the Year 2022

It’s been another amazing result for our cricket curating team in Victoria. The 2021-2022 Victorian Premier Cricket season concluded and the points from each first-grade cricket facility were calculated to determine the ground of the year. Followed by an awards ceremony acknowledging the achievements of everyone that played a role in this year's VIC cricket season.

Junction Oval once again showed consistently high scores every week throughout the season, being judged by umpires and the cricket teams. For the second year in a row, our very own Junction Oval (Citipower Centre) scored the most points and was once again crowned ground of the year! A truly amazing result by our curating team.

This award is an acknowledgment of the commitment and effort put in by many people to provide the best possible sports surface and facility. From our amazing client Cricket Victoria and the Citipower Centre staff, our management team, our turf product suppliers, all players and coaching staff that work with us every day to achieve their training goals as well as allowing us to prepare the wickets and turf, and the all-important curating team.

A number of skilled tradespeople contributed throughout this past season including full-time curators Joshua Deumer, Nathan Pinder, Brandon Pfefferini, and Tim Clock Loughry, expertly led by our Head Curator Brad Baptist.
